Jason & Emily
On July 23, 2016, we had the privilege of being a part of Jason and Emily’s wedding at Camp Howdy in Belcarra, BC. The location was woodsy, rustic, and beautiful – the perfect venue for this outdoorsy couple!
Guests were welcomed to the ceremony site with our infused water station. The bride’s favourite scent being lavender, the lavender lemon water was a perfect addition.
As the wedding transitioned from the ceremony to the reception, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour complete with a canape station and an open bar, which continued throughout the evening.
Like the location and decor, the dinner menu was inspired by the bride and groom’s love for the outdoors. Salmon and halibut with white wine steamed mussels and green pea sauce, and venison meatloaf with an apricot glaze, were served alongside a variety of fresh, seasonal salads and local, organic, roasted vegetables. These dishes allowed guests to experience the comfort found in a home-cooked meal, but with the use of local, specialty ingredients.
After dinner, guests were invited to indulge in a pie bar, consisting of fresh, homemade, seasonal pies. Apple, blueberry, strawberry rhubarb, and pecan were a few of the favourites! Pies were served alongside locally roasted coffee from Republica Coffee in Fort Langley.
It was a pleasure to be part of Jason and Emily’s special day!
